ANNAPOLIS, Md. - The Loyola University Maryland men's and women's swimming and diving teams opened their weekend of competition at the CSCAA National Invitational on Thursday at the U.S. Naval Academy with two relay teams scoring points for the Greyhounds.

The men's 200-yard freestyle relay - John Callaghan, John Venit, Zachary Metzler and Richard Kogut - took 14th with a time of 1:27.55, while the men's 400-yard medley relay - Metzler, Callaghan, Kogut and Venit - was 15th in 3:31.16.

Anne Hayburn swam for the women's team, finishing 72nd in the 50-yard freestyle (24.36).

The Greyhounds continue competition at the meet on Friday.
