BALTIMORE – Former Loyola University Maryland men's lacrosse player Brian Schultz '14 has been named director of athletic development/assistant athletic director after serving in an assistant director of development capacity for the last three-plus years.
 
Schultz will lead the Greyhounds' development efforts, coordinating fundraising for the Greyhound Athletics Fund and individual sports, organizing outreach to alumni, and hosting events for former Greyhounds, friends and supporters of the athletic department.
 
"I am excited to welcome Brian into this new role as the leader of our fundraising efforts for Loyola Athletics," said Donna M. Woodruff, Loyola's director of athletics and assistant vice president. "In a field where strong relationship-building skills and competitive drive are necessary for success, we are very fortunate to have an alumnus like Brian leading our efforts."
 
The 2014 graduate of Loyola with a bachelor of arts in communications was a member of Loyola's 2012 NCAA Men's Lacrosse Championship Team. He played in 43 games over his four seasons at Loyola, starting all 17 on attack as a senior in 2014. Schultz scored 36 goals and had 14 assists in his final season for the Green and Grey. He later was on the roster of multiple Major League Lacrosse teams.
 
Schultz came to Loyola in 2016 as a member of the athletics development team, most recently serving as the assistant director.
