Growing up in a house with two brothers, competition was always at the forefront of the life of
Bryan Artfitch, Loyola University Maryland's head strength and conditioning coach. He developed that into a love for sports and strength training. While sitting in a class at Penn State University, where he was a club baseball player, Artfitch had a light bulb moment where he realized he could carry his passions into a career.
He began as a strength and conditioning intern at Penn State, graduated and took a job at Langston University, and he then came on board at Loyola in 2016.
Here, Artfitch has been key in the development of the Greyhounds' teams and has been an especially valuable resource for student-atheltes during the COVID-19 pandemic. Listen to Artfitch tell his story of getting to where he is now in this week's Coach's Corner presented by
The Social North Charles.
