Opening Draw
  • Loyola continues Patriot League play on Saturday, as the Greyhounds will host Holy Cross for their final regular season home game.  
  • This will be the 11th game in matchup history, as Loyola has won each of the first 10 games. Holy Cross has only scored double-digit goals twice, the last time coming in 2017.  
  • Since joining the Patriot League, Navy is the only Patriot League program to defeat the Greyhounds, as they did so in the 2017 and 2018 Patriot League Championship game and in the 2018 NCAA Tournament.     
  • Chase Boyle is coming off of a big game agaisnt Boston, as she was named the Patriot League Midfielder of the Week following a 7 goal, 1 assist and 22 draw control performance. With the 22 draws, Boyle broke the Loyola and Patriot League single-game record, recently held by Loyola's Taylor VanThof. 
  • Jen Adams is back for her 17th season at the helm of the Greyhounds, as they have compiled a 65-13 record since the beginning of the 2022 season, which includes five NCAA Tournament wins.

Patriot League Preseason Honors
  • The Greyhounds were picked to repeat as Patriot League Champions, as Loyola has won a NCAA Division I record 91 straight regular season conference games.
  • Loyola also swept the Preseason Major Awards, as Georgia Latch, Chase Boyle, Lily Osborne, and Lauren Spence all won their respective positioinal award.
  • Latch, Boyle, Elisa Faklaris, Osborne, and Spence have combined to win ten player of the week awards this year, while Mim Suares-Jury has also won Rookie of the Week once. 

Greyhounds at Home
  • The Greyhounds have thrived at home, as they have posted a 62-4 record at home since the beginning of the 2019 season.
  • They have gone undefeated at home in 2019, 2022, and 2024. 
  • In Jen Adams tenure, the Greyhounds have gone 105-28 at home.

More on Spence
  • Lauren Spence enters her third season as the starting goalkeeper for the Greyhounds. 
  • In her career, she has posted a 8.49 goals against average, a .481 save percentage, and 426 career saves. 
  • She has also posted a 47-10 record over the past three seasons.
  • Spence has recorded double-digit saves in six games this season, which included a streak of six of seven games with double-digit saves.
  • She had a career-best 14 saves, while tying a career-best six ground balls, and three caused turnovers in the 16-6 win over Army on March 15.
  • Spence ranks ninth in career saves in program history (426).  

Scouting Holy Cross
  • Holy Cross comes into the matchup with a record of 8-6 (4-3) and are coming off of a 13-11 loss to No. 19 Army. 
  • After winning their first four Patriot League games, the Crusaders have lost their last three games, coming against No. 22 Navy, Lehigh and Army, with Lehigh and Army happening at home. 
  • Isabela Miller leads the team with 42 assists and 70 points on the season, while Sally Zinsner leads the team with 40 goals.
  • Ella Kittredge is second on the team in goals with 37, but outside of Miller, Zinsner, and Kittredge, no one else on the team has over 20 goals. 
  • In the circle, Racheli Levy-Smith leads the team with 137 draws on the season, as Kittredge is second with 49. 
  • In cage, Mackenzie Creagh has started in 12 games this season, posting a .484 save percentage, a 9.88 goals against average, and 103 saves. Sara Knice has started in two games, appearing in five this season, as she has a .309 save percentage, 21 saves, and a 16.4 goals agaisnt average. 

Record Tracking
  • Chase Boyle comes off of a 2024 season where she broke the single-season program record for goals (85) and draw controls (208)
  • Boyle also broke the Patriot League draw control record, that was set by Jillian Wilson's (198), in 2023. 
  • Boyle is 8 goals shy of becoming the new program career-leader in goals, as well as 20 draw controls from the program record. 
  • Georgia Latch now sits at second in program history in assists, with 172, trailing only Livy Rosenzweig, who finished with 230. She also now sits in second in career points, trailing only Rosenzweig in career points. She currently sits in third with 352 career points. 
  • In the Greyhounds win over Georgetown, Latch set a new program record with nine assists in the win. 

Dominance From The Circle
  • Loyola enters the game having won the draw battle in each game so far this season. 
  • The Greyhounds rank first in draws per game (20.7) and first in draw control percentage (71.1%) in Division I.
  • Loyola is coming off a big game on the cirlce, as Loyola won 33 draws against Boston, including 22 from Boyle, which broke the Patriot League and Loyola single-game record..
  • Chase Boyle ranks 7th in the country in draw controls per game, as she has led the Greyhounds on the draw this season.
  • Boyle has more draws than the Greyhounds opponents this season, as she has 159 draws this season, compared to 126 draws by opposing teams.  
  • Loyola has ranked in the top-ten in draw controls over the past five seasons.
  • Boyle follows in the footsteps of Taryn and Taylor VanThof, Livy Rosenzweig, and Jillian Wilson, who have set a history of excellance at the draw since 2011.   
  • The Greyhounds have relied on a next women up in the circle and have had success with it, in large part due to assistant coach Dana Dobbie, who coaches the draw and is a big reason to their success.
