Loyola University Maryland alumni, families and friends came together to raise more than $300,000 to support Greyhounds student-athletes during the 11th-annual Athletics Giving Challenge.
The annual giving challenge resulted in more than 900 alumni, student-athletes, family members, and friends supporting Greyhound Athletics in a competition for prizes awarded to the programs that had the most donors and raised the most funds.
"This year's Giving Challenge exemplifies how the Greyhounds Athletics community consistently shows their generous support for our student-athletes and coaches," said Associate Vice President and Director of Athletics Donna M. Woodruff. "We are forever grateful to the fans, family members, alumni, faculty, and administrators who all chose to invest in our incredible coaches and student-athletes and whose collective support consistently strengthens our programs and enhances our student-athlete experience."
Rowing won the challenge for the most donors with 330 unique contributors to the program, marking the fourth-straight year the program has won that challenge.
Men's soccer raised the most dollars with $38,455 raised during this year's challenge.
Three programs raised over $30,000 and seven raised over $20,000 for their respective programs.
