Loyola University Maryland Athletics

2022 (Senior): Played in 14 games on the Greyhounds’ midfield units… Had an assist at Lafayette… Picked up two ground balls at Navy.

2021 (Junior): Played in all 16 games on the Greyhounds’ midfield units… Started the first seven games… scored seven goals and assisted on five while picking up 13 ground balls… Assisted on an Adam Poitras goal with 11:06 left in regulation and then scored unassisted at 7:02 in the fourth at Denver… Scored a first-quarter goal in his first collegaite start at Richmond and had another goal against Virginia.

2020 (Sophomore): Played in all six games on the second midfield unit... Scored his first collegiate point with a first-quarter goal at Lafayette and added his second just nine minutes later... Named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll.

2019 (Freshman): Made his collegiate debut against Navy and saw action in four games… Took shots against both Navy and Lehigh and had a ground ball against Lafayette.

Before Loyola: Graduated from Loyola Blakefield High School in Towson, Maryland… Was a four-year varsity letterwinner in lacrosse while also earning three letters in volleyball… Scored 90 goals and had 66 assists for 156 points in his career for the Dons… Earned All-Metro First Team from The Baltimore Sun and All-Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association (MIAA) First Team as a senior in 2018… Was a finalist for the C. Markland Kelly Award as the state’s top player after he senior year in which he scored 46 goals and had 30 assists… Helped the Dons reach the MIAA semifinals three times and also log wins over the No. 1 team in the country twice in the same year… Tallied 21 goals and the same number of assists as a junior after posting 15 and 10 during his 2016 sophomore season… Played club for FCA Lacrosse.
 
Personal: Son of Amy and Paul Bateman… Has three brothers, Cormac, Rory and Brendan... Received the Troy Vance Scholarship at Loyola Blakefield… Has two uncles, Patrick (Virginia) and Bill (Delaware) Regan, who played collegiate lacrosse.
