2024 (Freshman): Played in three games as a first-year player at Loyola... Made his collegiate debut at Lafayette and made two saves on the only two shots he faced... Saw action in a 15-13 win over Bucknell... Played eight minutes at Holy Cross and made two saves against one goal allowed... Patriot League Academic Honor Roll.

Before Loyola: Graduated from Highland Park (Texas) High School where he had a .610 saves percentage as a senior in 2023 to help his team win the Texas Division I State Championships… Was the State Tournament Defensive Most Valuable Player… All-Texas honors as a senior and earned USA Lacrosse All-America recognition… Had a .580 save percentage as a sophomore, .590 as a junior… Competed for the Team USA U18 Team and Mad Dog National… Won the Brogden Cup with the USA U18s… Trained with former Loyola All-American goalkeeper Jacob Stover.
 
Personal: Son of Katy and Dr. Christopher Abel… Has four older siblings, Beatrice, Maggie, Annabelle and Chris… Honor roll student in high school.
