Before Loyola: Earned four letters in swimming at St. Augustine Preparatory School in Richland, N.J.... Received All-Conference honors all four years and All-State laurels as a senior... Took third place in the 100 breaststroke at the state meet as a senior and was a member of the 400 freestyle relay team that finished second... Qualified for the junior national meet... Helped the Hermits win the state title as a freshman, sophomore and senior.
