Biography

Tara Singleton joins the Greyhounds as a student assistant coach this season after earning four letters as a member of the Loyola defense. 'We are pleased to have Tara return as a student assistant coach,' head coach Kerri O[apos]Day said. 'As a member of the US National team, she brings a young and energetic voice to practice and she relates well to the players.' S singleton, second-team All-America selection, was a two-year starter at Loyola. She was a part of a defensive unit that was ranked No. 1 in the country in the 2003 season and finished ninth in 2004. Over her career, Singleton recorded 89 caused turnovers and 83 groundballs. In 2004, she ranked among the nation[apos]s leaders in caused turnovers. At the close of the 2004 season, she was named the team[apos]s Most Valuable Player. Singleton, 22, is currently student teaching to earn a degree in elementary education from Loyola.
