2019 (Junior): Became Loyola's first-ever champion at the ECAC Championships, battling a wet track to win the 400 hurdles in 60.91, a week after she broke her own school record and was second at the Patriot League Outdoor Championships... Ran the eight fastest times in school history in the event during the season, breaking the school record three times during the year... First turned the feat at the Navy Spring Meet where she ran 61.58... Became the outdoor team's first-ever Patriot League Runner of the Week after that competition... Won the event at the Hopkins-Loyola Invitational in 61.86... Took second and set another record in 61.31 at the Morgan State Legacy... Won the 400 hurdles in 60.42 at the Army West Point Twilight as an ECAC tuneup.

2018 (Sophomore): Ran the team’s top 400m hurdles time, crossing the line in 64.66 at the JMU Invitational… Rank 65.93 at the Fred Hardy Invitational… Clocked the school’s second-best all-time performance in the 300m (43.57) indoors at the Terrapin Invitational.

2017 (Freshman): Set the school 400m hurdles record and ran four of the school’s top-10 times in the event during her first year at Loyola… Was also the leadoff runner on the indoor and outdoor 4x400m relay teams that set school records… Opened her career at the Navy Lid-Lifter, running 60.51 in the 400m… Ran two of the top six times in school history in the indoor 500m… Clocked a time of 1:20.26 in her debut in the event at the Towson Tiger Invitational… Then posted a performance of 1:19.75 at the Navy Midweek Invitational… Led off the 4x400m relay team that set a school record of 3:52.07 at the Patriot League Indoor Championships only to break it with a performance of 3:51.05 at the ECAC Championships… Ran 65.94 in the 400m hurdles at the Maryland Invitational in her outdoor debut… Finished ninth in the 400m hurdles at the Bison Outdoor Classic in 63.40, at the time just 12-hundredths off the school record… Ran 64.02 a week later at the Morgan State Legacy… Broke the school record and finished seventh in the 400m hurdles with a time of 63.20 at the Patriot League Outdoor Championships… Helped Loyola set the school 4x400m relay record of 3:50.78 at the ECAC Championships.

Before Loyola: Earned seven varsity letters – four in track and field and three in cross country – at Hughesville (Pennsylvania) High School… Four-year qualifier for the state championships in the 100m and 300m hurdles… Also helped her 4x400m relay team qualify for the state championships three times… Finished fourth in the state in the 300m hurdles and seventh in the 100m hurdles in 2016… Was sixth in the 300m hurdles and eighth in the 4x400m relay in the 2015 state meet… Helped Hughesville win the Pennsylvania Heartland Athletic Conference track and field title in 2015 and 2016… Named Hughesville’s Outstanding Female Athlete in 2016.

Personal: Daughter of Pat and John Merrifield… Has two older sisters, Cassidy and Hannah, and a younger brother, John… Was Hughesville’s National Honor Society president and placed first in the state of Pennsylvania in the Future Business Leaders of America conference in the business plan competition and qualified for the national competition… Was a member of the Students Against Destructive Decisions Club, the Ski Club, Varsity Club and took Advanced Placement courses in Spanish, chemistry, English, history, calculus and physics.
