Loyola University Maryland Athletics

2019-2020 (Sophomore): Earned three singles wins during fall tournament season… Picked up a quality victory over Virginia Tech at the University of Maryland’s Bedford Cup, winning the “C” flight consolation bracket in the process… Had two marathon singles wins over Towson and Morgan State to help the Greyhounds win the Towson Classic… Had an outstanding 3.945 GPA and earned a place on the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll… Dean’s List student.

2018-2019 (Freshman): Had a successful first campaign for the Greyhounds with 7 singles victories (7-2) and 4 doubles wins... Teamed with Jenna Granato in the Fall to reach the quarterfinals on the “B” flight of the Bucknell Invitational... Also made the quarters in singles on the “C” flight at Bucknell.

Before Loyola: Four-time league all-star for tennis team at Winchester High School in Massachusetts … Led the Sachems to four straight league championships … Led team to a 20-1 record as a senior … Member of the Sachems’ state runner-up team last year … Honored as a Boston Globe all-star … Won junior sectional championship in 2012.
 
Personal: Daughter of Justine and Kane Thompson …  Has two siblings … Born in Boston … Competed at MAC Tennis Academy … Volunteered at a kids reading program during three summers … Mother is a graduate of James Madison University who played tennis for the Dukes.
