2018-2019 (Sophomore) Had an outstanding 2^nd season for the Greyhounds with the 2^nd most singles wins (22) playing in the 2^nd spot, and tied Martin for the most doubles wins at number 1 with 19 victories... She is 33-12 in singles and 30-18 in doubles for her 2-year career... Was 4-0 in singles and 3-1 in doubles while being a finalist at our Loyola Invitational, and was 3-1 in singles and doubles to finish 3^rd in our Loyola Classic during the Fall season... She was 5-4 vs Patriot League opponents in singles and 4-6 in doubles... Dean’s list honoree in elementary education.

2017-2018 (Freshman): made positive contributions in her first season of collegiate play… Went 11-5 at No. 3 singles, 2-4 in Patriot League action… Teamed with sophomore Lin Robertson at No. 2 doubles for a matching 11-5 record… Was injured during the fall semester, but started quickly in the spring with five-straight singles wins and six doubles victories in a row.

Before Loyola: Was a four-year tennis letterwinner at Marriotts Ridge High School in Marriottsville, Maryland, where she was a four-time Howard County singles champion from 2014-17… Named the Howard County Times Player of the Year in 2014, 2015 and 2017… Led the Mustangs to four-straight Howard County titles… Reached the state semifinals in 2014 and 2016, finishing third as a junior… Also was a state quarterfinalist in 2015 during her sophomore season… Won the regional title in 2014 and 2016 and was second in 2015… As a doubles player, won the 2017 Howard County, regional and Maryland state titles.

Personal: Abigail Cote Thornton… Daughter of Diane and Craig Thornton… Has a younger sister, Kaitlyn… Member of the National Honor Society at Marriotts Ridge.
