Loyola University Maryland Athletics

2016-2017 (Junior): Competed at No. 3 singles for the second year for the Greyhounds, winning 12 matches… Had the clinching point against St. Francis Brooklyn and an impressive victory against Navy… Reached the singles semifinals at the Mount St. Mary’s Invitational… Was a doubles finalist with C.J. Cash at the Patriot League Kickoff Invitational during the fall.

2015-2016 (Sophomore): Had a very successful 2nd season on the courts for the Greyhounds… his 19 singles wins at number 3 was 3rd highest for the team and 4th most all-time of most singles wins in a season… Won 3 singles matches at the Villanova Invitational in the fall… Had a 9 match singles winning streak and won 12 out of 13 matches during the spring season, teamed with senior Jordan Kuchta to reach the “A” Flight doubles quarterfinals with a win over Colgate.

2014-2015 (Freshman): Made positive contributions to the team in his first season of collegiate play, winning 11 singles matches between numbers two and four in the lineup... Reached the "A" flight consolation singles final at the Bucknell Invitational and was an impressive 3-1 in action at the Villanova Invitational... Tied for fifth out of 16 players at the event.

Before Loyola: Was a four-year letter winner in tennis at Loyola Blakefield in nearby Towson, Maryland... Named to 2012 USTA Team Maryland...Named to MIAA "A" All Conference Team at 1 Singles in 2013 and 2014... Varsity team captain as a senior.

Personal: Christopher Reid Burch... Son of Debra and Howe Burch... Has two older siblings, Erin and Conor... Earned academic honors each semester at Loyola Blakefield and was the recipient of the Academic Excellence Award... Enjoys traveling and video games, and is a huge fan of the Baltimore Ravens.
