Before Loyola: Graduated from Carrollton School of the Sacred Heart… Competed in novice and varsity rowing for two years, varsity track and field for one and varsity swimming for two… Member of the Miami Rowing Club… Was in the novice 8 boat that finished second at the Indian Creek Regatta and the novice 8 that took fifth at Head of the Hooch… Coxswain for several other successful boats, including at the Sarasota Invitational where the women’s novice 8 took first, the women’s JV 8 was second and the women’s novice 4A was fourth… Fourth in the varsity 4 at the American Youth Cup… third in the women’s novice 8 at the OARS… Won the women’s novice 8 and was third in the women’s novice 4 at the Miami International Regatta… Helped the swimming team finish third in the district meet twice.
 
Personal: Daughter of Yvette Valdes-Gonzalez and Albert Gonzalez… Has a younger brother, Evan… Member of campus ministroy and the Frances McGlannan Foundation Gala… Participated in the San Juan Bosco Christmas Food Drive, was a student ambassador and member f the instrumental ensemble… Participated in multiple community service initiatives… Speaks three languages, English, Spanish and Mandarin.
