2024-25 (First Year): A two-time finalist at the ECAC Open Championships, amassing 26 points for Loyola… Finished seventh in the 1650 freestyle (17:33.24) and touched the wall in eighth position in the 500 free… Posted a personal best time of 5:02.43 in the prelims in the 500… Placed 14th in the 200 butterfly, earning a spot in the B finals with a PR of 2:06.18 in the morning swim… Amassed 71 points in the H2ounds Invitational, including a fifth-place finish in the 200 butterfly… Accumulated 68 points in the Thomas Murphy Invitational, highlighted by an appearance in the A Finals in the 200 fly… Earned second-place finishes in the 1000 freestyle vs. Lafayette and in the 100 butterfly in her debut vs. American.

The Washington Post and was Sherwood’s top point-producer in her sophomore, junior and senior campaigns… Brought home gold in the 500 freestyle and silver in the 200 free at the regional championships in 2023 and another gold in the 100 butterfly at the same meet in 2024… Also competes for the Rockville Montgomery Swim Club.
Personal: Daughter of Lisa and Christopher Caponiti… Has two older siblings, Maximilian and Gabriella… Earned entrance to the National Honor Society, Spanish Honor Society and Science Honor Society… Served as president and peer buddy for the Best Buddies Chapter at Sherwood to promote kindness and inclusion in the community.
