2025-26 (Sophomore): Tied for second-leading freshman scoring honors on the team and tied for eighth overall with 663.50 points earned… Capped her season in fine fashion, setting two personal bests and amassing 38 points in the ECAC Open Championships… Placed second to Haley Robinson on Loyola squad and 16th overall… Earned a bronze in the 1650 freestyle, but also produced PR’s in the 200 butterfly (2:04.46) and 500 free (5:01.20)… Just missed podium, finishing fourth in 200 fly and placed tenth in 500… Consistent point-scorer in invitational (H2ounds, Thomas Murphy) competition… Earned 83 points at H2ounds and 76 at Thomas Murphy… Debuted with fourth-place finishes in 500 and 1000 freestyles vs. Lafayette.

2024-25 (First Year): A two-time finalist at the ECAC Open Championships, amassing 26 points for Loyola… Finished seventh in the 1650 freestyle (17:33.24) and touched the wall in eighth position in the 500 free… Posted a personal best time of 5:02.43 in the prelims in the 500… Placed 14th in the 200 butterfly, earning a spot in the B finals with a PR of 2:06.18 in the morning swim… Amassed 71 points in the H2ounds Invitational, including a fifth-place finish in the 200 butterfly… Accumulated 68 points in the Thomas Murphy Invitational, highlighted by an appearance in the A Finals in the 200 fly… Earned second-place finishes in the 1000 freestyle vs. Lafayette and in the 100 butterfly in her debut vs. American.

Before Loyola: A five-time finalist in the 200 and 500 freestyle events at the MPSSAA (Maryland) 4A3A state championships from 2022-24… Earned All-Metro honorable mention honors from The Washington Post and was Sherwood’s top point-producer in her sophomore, junior and senior campaigns… Brought home gold in the 500 freestyle and silver in the 200 free at the regional championships in 2023 and another gold in the 100 butterfly at the same meet in 2024… Also competes for the Rockville Montgomery Swim Club.     

Personal: Daughter of Lisa and Christopher Caponiti… Has two older siblings, Maximilian and Gabriella… Earned entrance to the National Honor Society, Spanish Honor Society and Science Honor Society… Served as president and peer buddy for the Best Buddies Chapter at Sherwood to promote kindness and inclusion in the community.
