Accolades and Extracollegiate Performances:

• Selected to 2025-26 Patriot League Second Team and All-Academic Team
• Set a Mangione Aquatic Center record as a member of two record-setting relays in the 200 and 400 medley relays (2025 H2ounds Invitational)
• Also set school and H2ounds Invitational individual record in the 100 breaststroke (52.04) and pool and meet records in the 100 freestyle (43.61) 
• Named Patriot League Swimmer of the Week (Nov. 25, 2025) for his performance at the H2ounds Invitational
• Competed at Toyota US Open Championships in December 2025 and set a personal records in the 50 (28.75, 18th in finals) and 100 breaststroke (1:03.02)
• Competed at the USA Swimming National Championships in June 2025, setting a personal best in the 50m (29.39) 
• Named Loyola’s 2024-25 Male Freshman of the Year at the Iggy’s
• Selected to 2024-25 Patriot League Second Team 
• Earned a pair of finals’ appearances in the Toyota US Open Championships in December 2024, placing 18th in the 100 freestyle and 24th in the 50 free

2025-26 (Sophomore): Produced a brilliant campaign, finishing second on the team and eighth in the Patriot League in total points earned (836.60)… Shined at the Patriot League Championships, earning a silver and three bronze medals as part of Greyhound relays… Also a two-time finalist, finishing just off the podium (4th) in the 100 breaststroke and sixth in the 100 freestyle… Set PR’s in the 100 free (43.58) and 50 free (19.83), where he placed ninth… Picked up 70 points in the meet for Loyola… A double-winner (100 free, 100 breast) in the dual meet vs. Bucknell… Top Male Swimmer of the Meet in the H2ounds Invitational, hauling in five golds and one silver… Recorded an NCAA B Cut time (52.04) in the 100 breaststroke… Also captured both sprint freestyle events.

2024-25 (First Year): Earned a gold medal as part of the 200 medley relay team at the Patriot League Championships… Took home a bronze in the 100 yard breaststroke with a personal best mark of 53.06… Also touched first in the B Finals of the 200 individual medley with a PR of 1:47.52 and tacked on an additional ninth place finish (67 points total) in the 100 freestyle… Recorded a victory in the 100 IM vs. Mount St. Mary’s… Added three golds to his total in the 100 freestyle, 100 breaststroke and 200 IM (max 108 points) at the H2ounds Invitational… Set a PR in the 100 free of 44.15… Swept the 50 and 100 freestyle events in the tri-meet vs. Colgate and Lehigh… Won the 100 breaststroke and 200 IM in the dual meet vs. Lafayette… Debuted with wins in the 50 butterfly and 100 IM vs. American…Accumulated ten individual gold medals in his initial collegiate campaign.

Before Loyola: Won the 100 breaststroke at the 2024 Middle Atlantic Senior Championships… Earned a pair of silvers (100 butterfly, 100 breaststroke) at the 2024 PIAA 3A State Championships, setting school records in each event… Named an All American in three events in 2023-24 and All League honors in each of his four varsity seasons… Swam for Upper Dublin Aquatic Club and competed at the Tyr Pro Series in San Antonio… Also lettered in baseball and golf.

Personal: Son of Marguerite and Mike Coyle… Marguerite played field hockey at Old Dominion University and Mike competed in crew at Villanova… Has four siblings, Quinn, Riley, Ellie and Owen … Riley is a junior on the 2024-25 Greyhounds' men's swimming squad... A member of the National Business Honor Society and the former vice president of the International Baccalaureate Club… Founded the Spike Away Hunger Volleyball Tournament, which raises money for those struggling in his community.
