Accolades and Extracollegiate Performances:

• Represented the Greyhounds at the FISU America Games in Cali, Columbia on Nov. 5-7, 2024 and at the Toyota U.S. Open Championships in Greensboro, N.C. on Dec 4-7
• Earned bronze in the 200 meter butterfly (2:08.63), 400m freestyle (4:14.72) and 1500m freestyle (17:17.10) events in Columbia
• Took home a silver as part of the 400 medley relay squad in Greensboro and placed fourth in the 200 butterfly.

2024-25 (Junior): The Greyhounds’ top finisher and fourth overall in the 200 butterfly at the Patriot League Championships… Swam a personal best time of 1:46.56 in the prelims… Won the B Final of the 100 fly in Lewisburg, posting a PR and the sixth-best time in the event (47.75)... Captured the 100 butterfly in the dual meet vs. Bucknell… Earned a pair of third place finishes in the H2ounds Invitational, earning bronze in the 100 fly and 200 backstroke.   

2023-24 (Sophomore): Capped his season by competing in the Navy Long Course Time Trials and set a personal best in the 100 LC butterfly (55.43)… Earned his second consecutive appearance in the finals of the 200 butterfly in the Patriot League Championships and placed eighth… Set a PR in the prelims with a time of 1:47.87… Smashed a personal best in the 100 backstroke in Annapolis, touching the wall in 49.19 and earning 15 points (10th place)… In regular season competition, he earned gold in the 200 fly on three occasions (William & Mary, Lafayette, Thomas Murphy Invitational).

2022-23 (Freshman): Was named to the Second Team All-Patriot League team, as he competed in the Patriot League Championships, where he set a personal best time in the 100 Back (49.25), 50 Fly (22.70), 100 Fly (48.00), and 200 Fly (1:48.12) ... Finished in 5th place in the 200 Fly and 100 Fly, and 11th in the 100 Back at the Patriot League Championships.

Before Loyola: Attended Loyola Blakefield High School where he was a member of the water polo and swimming teams ... Was named to the All-MIAA team for swimming for his senior season ... Was on the team that won the National Catholic Swimming and Diving Championships in 2022. 

Personal: Son of Pamela Shinnick, who played tennis at Loyola ... Four siblings: Brooke, Jaqueline, Paul and Steven.
