2025-26 (First Year): Competed in the sprint freestyle events and anchored a Greyhound 800 free relay foursome at the Patriot League Championships… Loyola’s top finisher in the 100 free vs. Army West Point, placing third… Swam leadoff leg as Greyhounds’ 400 free relay team bested the field vs. Bucknell… Produced a big effort at the Thomas Murphy Invitational, led by a silver medal and personal best in the 100 freestyle (51.62)… Also produced PR in the 50 free (24.15), placing eighth and earned two golds and a silver in relays… Anchored both gold-medal winning 400 (free/medley) relay foursomes… Totalled 76 points in the meet… Took second in both the 50 and 100 freestyle events in her debut vs. Lafayette.
Before Loyola: Earned a dozen varsity letters at Towson, four each in swimming, cross country and track and field… A highly decoraded club swimmer while competing for North Baltimore Aquatics… A four-time finalist at Speedo Sectionals in 2024 and 2025 meets, including three A finals appearances in the 2024 meet in Buffalo, N.Y. … Finished sixth in the 500 freestyle at the 2024 Maryland State Senior Championships… A member of 4x200m free relay squad which earned silver at the 2023 Richmond Futures Championships… A four-time member of the All-State cross country team and three-time honoree on the All-State track and field team… The current Towson HS school record holder in the 800 meters.
Personal: Daughter of Theresa and Anthony van Lierop… Brother, Hans competed in the pool for the Greyhounds from 2023-26… Also has a younger sister Catherine, who competes for North Baltimore Aquatic Club… A 2024, 2025 AP Scholar with Distinction… A member of the Math and Science National Honor Societies at Towson.
