Extracollegiate Activities:
- Competed in two freestyle relays at the 2026 (summer) USA Swimming Futures Championships in Greensboro, N.C.
2025-26 (First Year): Loyola’s top competitor in the 1650 freestyle at the ECAC Open Championships, earning a fourth place finish (15:50.15) and touching less than 1.5 seconds off his personal best … Also placed 15th in he 500 free in Lewisburg… Finished in top eight in the 500 free (8th) and 1650 free (4th) at the H2ounds Invitational… Produced three second-place finishes in dual meet competition, touching the wall second in the 1000 free vs. Bucknell and Lafayette and in the 500 free vs. Richmond.
Before Loyola: Earned 12 high school letters, four each in swimming, cross country and track & field… Earned All-State honors in both swimming and cross country… A four-time state finalist in the 200 and 500 freestyle events during his junior and senior seasons… Earned a bronze medal in the 500 free at the 2024 VISAA Championships… Competed for the PAVA Swim Club.
Personal: Son of Christy and Steven Garcia and has a sister, Madison… An Eagle scout.
