2025-26 (First Year): Another gem in Loyola’s freshman class, finishing tenth overall on the team in total points (733.50) for the year… Produced a pair of tenth-place finishes at the Patriot League Championships, including a PR of 3:54.95 in the grueling 400 IM… Also placed tenth in the 1650 freestyle… Won the 400 IM at the H2ounds Invitational, touching .04 seconds ahead of the second-place swimmer in a time of 3:54.99… Also took a silver in the 1650 free and amassed 90 points (tenth overall) for the Greyhounds… Captured the 100 freestyle in the meet vs. Richmond… Produced similar results at Loyola’s first invite – The Thomas Murphy Invitational – winning the 400 IM and placing second in the 1650 free… Added a bronze in the 500 free, giving him one of each for the meet… Accumulated 99 points, the fifth-most among all competitiors and third-best Greyhound… Debuted with a win in the 1000 free in the dual meet vs. Lafayette.
Before Loyola: Highly-decorated swimmer from Georgia… Capped his career by earning a silver (500 freestyle) and a bronze (200 IM) at the GSHA 5A state championships… Selected as the program’s Most Valuable Athlete in 2024-25… Earned three silvers (400 IM, 500 and 1000 freestyle) at the 2024 Georgia Senior State Championships as part of the Stingrays’ club team… Won the 1000 free at the 2024 GHSA 6A State Championships.
Personal: Son of Brenda and John Miles… Has an older sister, Abigail… Brenda competed in swimming at Gettysburg College, while Abigail played soccer at Lafayette… A member of the National Honor Society and a four-time academic letter recipient.
