2021-22 (Junior): Posted personal bests in the 100 Back (56.91) and 100 Fly (56.45) at the ECA Open Championships ... Posted season best times in the 50 Free (24.95) and 50 Back (27.25) in the duel meet against Mount Saint Mary's ... Competed in 7 meets during the season for the Greyhounds.
2020-21 (Sophomore): Concluded his season at the April Pools Virtual Invitational, finishing 11th in the 200 back with a season-best time of 2:04.60 … added a PR in the 50 free (24.03) that weekend … raced at seven meets overall during the abbreviated spring season … placed fifth in the 100 back with a PR mark of 57.24 in Loyola’s second dual against American.
2019-20 (Freshman): Competed in the 100 back, 200 back and 100 fly at the ECAC Championships, setting new personal-best times in the 100 back (57.27) and 100 fly (56.76) … posted a personal-best mark of 24.95 in the 50 free against Towson … placed 17th in the 200 back (2:04.81) and was 20th in the 100 back (57.64) at the H2ounds Invitational … placed third in the 1,000 free against Mount St. Mary’s.
Before Loyola: Part of a swim team at Conestoga HS which went undefeated and won Central League championships all four years … Outstanding Academic Achievement Award recipient.
Personal: Son of Frank Sampson and Leslie Cromwell … has one sister, Angela … both parents swam at UMass … sister swam at Mount St. Mary’s … served as president and founder of Microbiology Club at Conestoga … vice president of Cupcakes for Casa … also a member of the Take a Blink for Pink and A Voice for Veterans clubs … honor roll student.
