Before Loyola: Earned four letters in swimming and one in cross country at La Plata… Won the 100 freestyle and placed second in the 50 free at the 2025 Maryland Long Course Championships… A five-time state champion, including a pair of victories at the 2025 MPSSAA 1A/2A/3A Championships… Captured the 100 and 200 freestyle events, defending his title in the 100 free … Qualified for and competed at the Winter Junior Championships in Greensboro December 2024… Placed 32nd (of 105 competitors) in the 100 freestyle… A six-time finalist and four-time medalist (two silver, two bronze) at the 2024 Maryland Senior Championships, scoring 109 of Seahawks’ Aquatics 191 points… Competed for the Rockfish, Seahawks Aquatics and South Maryland Aquatics swim clubs.
 
Personal: Son of Shannon Abelende… Has three siblings, Alyssa, Taylor and Landon… A 3.5 student at La Plata.
