Accolades and Extracollegiate Performances:
- Competed at the 2025 Toyota National Championships; reached an 'A' final, swimming the 50-meter backstroke in 25.02 to finish eighth and register the No. 10 time in the United States this year and the No. 37 mark in the world
- Named Loyola’s Male Sophomore of the Year at the 2024-25 Iggy’s
- Earned 2024-25 All-Patriot League Second Team and Academic All-Patriot League honors, along with CSC Academic All-District recognition
- A two-time Patriot League Swimmer of the Week (Oct. 22, 2024, Jan. 21, 2025)
- Captured bronze (47.05) in the 100-yard backstroke at the 2024 Toyota U.S. Open Championships in Greensboro, N.C.; also part of men’s 400 medley relay winning quartet
- Brought home three gold medals in the 2024 FISU America Games in Cali, Columbia, winning the 50, 100 and 200-meter backstroke events; also won gold in the mixed 400-meter medley relay
- Won his heat and finished tied for 20th overall in the 100-meter backstroke at the 2024 United States Olympic Trials
- Named Loyola’s Male Freshman of the Year at the 2023-24 Iggy’s
2024-25 (Sophomore): Brought home gold as part of the 200 medley relay quartet at the ECAC Open Championships…A two-time finalist at the Patriot League Championships, earning silver in the 200 backstroke (1:42.17, PR) and bronze in the 100 back (46.29, PR, prelims)… Both were NCAA “B” cut times… Captured the 200 backstroke in meets vs. Army West Point, Bucknell and Lafayette… Also won gold in the 100 backstroke vs. the dual meets vs. Bucknell and Lafayette… Triumphed in both backstroke events at both the H2ounds Invitational and the Thomas Murphy Invitational.
2023-24 (Freshman): Won the 100 backstroke at the ECAC Championships and set an ECAC Championships record mark of 47.09 in the preliminaries… Finished second in the 100 backstroke and third in the 200 backstroke at the Patriot League Championships… Doubled with triumphs in the both backstroke events in dual meets vs. Army West Point, Bucknell, William & Mary, Lafayette and Lehigh (collegiate debut) and at the H2ounds Invitational… Won the 100 freestyle and 200 IM in the tri-meet vs. American and Colgate.
Before Loyola: Graduated from St. Mary’s High School where he was a four-year letterwinner in swimming and team captain as a senior… Member of Team USA at the 2023 World University Games (Chengdu 2021)… Four-time NISCA High School All-American… Two-time
Washington Post All-Met First Team and four-time USA Swimming Scholastic All-American… Named the
Annapolis Capital-Gazette Swimmer of the Year twice and was the St. Mary’s High School Athlete of the Year and MIAA ‘B’ Conference Swimmer of the Year… Named the National Catholic Championship Swimmer of the Meet in a competition held at Loyola’s Fitness and Aquatic Center, breaking a pool record set by Michael Phelps in the Process… Over the course of his pre-Loyola career, won 21 Maryland LSC State titltes and was a Maryland LSC Swimmer of the Year… Held 10 Maryland LSC State records and was a two-time Olympic Trials Qualifier (2020 and 2024).
