2023-24 (Junior): Competed in the 50 and 100 freestyle events and the 100 butterfly at the season-ending ECAC Open Championships… Earned personal bests in the 50 free (20.71 mark in prelims, 12th place in finals) and 100 fly (50.99 in prelims)… Easily eclipsed his previous best in the 100 freestyle at the Loyola H2Hounds Invitational, touching the wall in fourth position at 46.17.
2021-22 (Freshman): Posted a season best time in the 50 Free (20.58) at the ECAC Open Championships ... Also posted a personal best time in the 200 Free (2:48.74) in the duel meet against Colgate ... Competed in 9 meets for the Greyhounds during his rookie campaign.
Before Loyola: Was a five-time All-State selection … earned four SCC first place medals … named SCC Division 2 Swimmer of the Year and SCC Swimmer of the Meet … contributed to a team which won a pair of SCC Division 2 Championships … broke three school records … swam club for Wallingford YMCA, Swimming Wallingford Aquatic Club and Cheshire Y Sea Dogs … broke multiple Wallingford YMCA records … also a one-year letterwinner in golf.
Personal: Is the son of Scott and Julie Zellner … has two siblings, Richard and Sarah … honor roll student … volunteered for 30 hours of community service.
