2024-25 (Sophomore): Peaked in championship season, recording personal best in all three events at the Patriot League Championships… Racked up 33 points with top times in the 500 (4:29.06) and 1650 (15:40.77) freestyle events, along with the 400 IM (3:58.67, prelim)… Excelled at the H2ounds Invitational, earning a silver in the 1650 freestyle and placing fourth and sixth respectively in the 400 IM and 500 free… Amassed 90 points… Swept the 500 and 1000 freestyle in the dual meet vs. Lafayette.  

2023-24 (First Year): Debuted in fine fashion for the Greyhounds… Earned his spot for the Patriot League Championships and posted personal bests in the 400 IM and 1650 freestyle (15:52.56) … Also swam the 500 free and scored in all three events… In the 400 IM, dropped his time by over three seconds from the prelims to the finals, breaking the 4-minute mark (3:59.53)… Triumphed in the 500 free at the Loyola H2ounds Invitational, setting a career best time of 4:32.46… Registered an additional PR with a time of 1:42.96 in the 200 free of the Thomas Murphy Invitational.

Before Loyola: Graduated from Christian Brothers Academy where he was a varsity cross country and swimming and diving student-athlete… As a senior in 2023, was named to the Asbury Park Press All-Shore Team and won three Shore Conference titles… Picked up two Monmouth County titles, as well and received the Lt. Dennis Zilinski Memorial Award… In 2022, was also an All-Shore Team honoree with Shore Conference and Monmouth County titles… Helped CBA win multiple Shore Conference and Monmouth County titles and earn 2021 New Jersey Team of the Year recognition… Also swam for New Jersey Race Club.
 
Personal: Son of Erin and Brendan Leary… Has two siblings, Declan and Brigid… Volunteer coach for Special Olympics.
