Extracollegiate Performances:

• Competed in the CSCAA Open Water Championships in North Miami Beach, Fla. in December 2024 and placed 27th of 94 swimmers with a time of 1:04:15.00 in the 5000 yard freestyle

2024-25 (First Year): Capped an outstanding freshman campaign by setting three personal marks and amassing 47 points for the Greyhounds at the ECAC Open Championships… Earned bronze medals in the 500 freestyle (4:27.35) and 400 IM (3:55.84) and took fourth place in the 1650 free (15:36.42)… Won the 1000 freestyle and took second in the 500 free vs. in the tri-meet vs. Lehigh and Colgate.

Before Loyola:  A two-time 2024 TISCA State Championship finalist in the 200 and 500 freestyle events…Led Brentwood to three consecutive fourth-place finishes at state championship meets…  Enjoyed a decorated club career with Ensworth Aquatics… Won the 1650 freestyle at the 2024 Southeastern SC Championships in Huntsville, Ala. … A three-time Southern Swimming LSC individual event champion.  
 
Personal: Son of Brenda and Alexander Hughes… Has two older siblings, Andrew and Emily… An Eagle Scout/Order of the Arrow and earned a Congressional Award silver medal.
