2025-26 (Sophomore): Competed (exhibition) at ECAC Open Championships, taking part in the breaststroke events, the 200 IM and the 400 medley and freestyle relays… Cut his times substantially from prelims to finals in H2ounds Invitational, highlighted by a 15th place finish in the 200 breaststroke… Picked up 33 points for Loyola in the meet… Best effort in the Thomas Murphy Invitational occurred in the 200 breast, where he placed 13th overall… Also amassed 33 points in that competition… Recorded a personal-best time (23.47) in the 50 freestyle vs. Richmond.
2024-25 (First Year): Swam exhibition at the ECAC Open Championships, but did set a personal high mark in the 200 individual medley (1:57.32)… Reached both breaststroke finals at the H2ounds Invitational, placing 10th and 11th in the 100 and 200 respectively… Won the B final and amassed 41 points for Loyola… Reached three finals in the Thomas Murphy Invitational (breaststroke events, 200 IM) and racked up 39 points for the Greyhounds.
Before Loyola: A two-time finalist in the 2024 IHSA Boys Section meet in Skokie, Ill. … Placed sixth in the 100 breaststroke and eighth in the 100 butterfly… Set a school record and won the 2023-24 Catholic League title in the 100 breaststroke… Also is a school record holder as part of the 200 medley relay quartet… Helped his Loyola Academy squad to a fourth place finish at the state championships as a freshman… Competes for NASA Wildcat Aquatics.
Personal: Son of Gina and Charles Rice… The youngest of four children (Alex, Andrew, Emily)… Earned First Scholar accolades.
