2024-25 (Sophomore): Amassed 20 points at the Patriot League Championships, posting scores of 245.05 (prelims) on the 1-meter board and 256.75 on the 3-meter board … Finished second out of seven competitors on the 3-meter board in the dual meet vs. Army West Point with a 255.75 total… The Greyhounds’ top diver, racking up a total of 277.50 in the meet vs. Bucknell… Approached the 300-point plateau with a score of 291.45 in the 1-meter prelims of the H2ounds Invitational… Won the 3-meter competition (264.80) vs. Colgate and Lehigh… Produced a career-best mark of 291.90 on the higher board vs. Lafayette.
2023-24 (First Year): Made his intercollegiate post-season debut at the Patriot League Championships… Recorded a personal best score of 279.40 (prelims) on the 3-meter board and earned 11 points for the Greyhounds with a 16th place finish… Got off to a brilliant start in his career, sweeping both boards in the opener vs. Lehigh… The following week, he won the 3-meter board vs. Lafayette and took second with a season-best score of 259.05 on the lower board.
Before Loyola: Graduated from Seneca Valley High School where he competed as a diver and a varsity mountain biker… Qualified for the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association (PIAA) State meet as a junior and senior and was a WPIAL District 7 Qualifier, as well… Finished third in the WPIAL meet as a senior, fourth as a junior and 11
th as a sophomore… Was 12
th in the state as a senior, 21
st as a junior… Earned All-State honorable mention and received Scholar-Athlete recognition… Helped his team win the 2022 PIAA State title and the WPIAL district title… In mountain biking, finished 13
th overall in the NICA Pennsylvania meet.
Personal: Son of Joanna and Joe Hersick… Has a brother, James… Earned the Pennsylvania NICA Super Volunteer Award… Member of the National Honor Society.
