Biography
Before Loyola: Competed as a swimmer and diver at Loyola Academy and also earned two letters in water polo… Finished sixth (of 13) in the 11-dive program at the 2024 Metro Catholic Aquatic Conference Championships, recording a career-high 336.75 points… Also recorded personal bests in the 50 and 100 breaststroke events at the meet… The Loyola Academy Diver of the Year and team captain in 2022 and 2024… Earned a silver medal in the 100 butterfly at the 2022 MCAC Championships… A freshman member of the 2021 MCAC Championship squad… Competed for Glenbrook Aquatics Senior National Team, AAU Diving and YMCA Diving.
Personal: Daughter of Johanna and Sam Abbasi.. Has three sisters, Anastasia, Elise and Jacqueline… The 2023 Loyola Academy Student Leader of the Year… A 2022 Entrepreneurship Program semi-finalist for Design of New Global Currency… Earned the Elyssa’s Mission and Rotary Club college scholarships as a graduating senior… A Loyola Academy Dean's List Scholar (2021–23) and member of National Honor Society and Spanish Honor Society.
