Before Loyola: Competed at the 2026 NCSA Summer Championships in Indianapolis and set personal marks in the (LC) 50 freestyle, 100 backstroke, and both butterfly events… Also took part in the summer of 2025 USA Swimming Futures Championships in Greensboro, N.C. … Reached the Virginia Class 5 state championships in his junior and senior campaigns… A two-time finalist in the 100 backstroke and 100 butterfly in both the 2025 and 2026 meets… Best finish was a fifth-place effort in the 100 fly… Recorded best time in the 100 butterfly at the NSCA Spring Championships in Orlando, Fla., with a mark of 50.19… Also lettered in cross country and track & field.
Personal: Son of Jennifer and Thomas Kalka, Jr. … Has a young sister, Eleni… Thomas Jr. competed in cross country and track & field at Gannon University and coaches those sports at Potomac Falls… Also competed for Nation’s Capital Swim Club.
