Before Loyola: Competed at the March 2026 NSCA Spring Championships in Orlando, Fla. and produced an 18th place (of 49 swimmers) finish in the 1000 freestyle
… Ranked the fourth-best recruit of the Delaware senior class by Swimcloud…A four-time All-State swimmer… The Delaware state champion in the 500 freestyle from 2024-26… Also a member of the gold-medal winning 200 and 400 freestyle relay teams in the 2026 DIAA meet, leading Salesianum to its tenth consecutive state title… Set a Delaware state record in the 500 free in 2026 (4:35.46)… Also took bronze in the 200 freestyle, one year after earning a gold and two silvers (200 free, 200 free relay) and finishing third overall.
Personal: Son of Missy and Ed Hanway… Has two older brothers – Jon and Brian – and a younger sister, Cassie… A Cape May, N.J. county lifeguard champion… Also competed for Suburban Seahawks Club.
