"Shay brings a wealth of experience as a high caliber student-athlete and a coaching style that is a natural fit with our brand of lacrosse. She has such high energy and passion for the game, as well as dedication to the student-athlete experience. We are extremely fortunate to have Shay join us on the sidelines at Loyola."

Ahearn, a recent graduate from the University of Maryland, will join the Greyhounds coaching staff as an assistant coach for the 2025 season.

"I'm so excited to be joining a program that I have followed for so long and to be a part of a staff that I've looked up to since I was little" said Ahearn. "I know that I am going to grow as both a coach and person a while at Loyola and cannot wait to get started this year!"
