Biography
2019-2020 (Sophomore): Had a very successful second season for the Greyhounds during fall tournament play with six singles wins and seven doubles victories with classmate Genevieve Wurtz… Was a consolation finalist in both singles and doubles at the University of Maryland’s Bedford Cup with two straight-set wins over Towson opponents in singles to add a very impressive triumph over a Virginia Tech team in doubles… Won two singles and doubles matches at the Loyola Invitational and was a consolation finalist at the Loyola Classic with two doubles and a singles win… Had an incredible 3.890 GPA in the spring and earned Patriot League Academic Honor Roll… Majoring in pre-med/biology and is a Dean’s List honoree.
2018- 2019 (Freshman): Made positive contributions for the Greyhounds on the court and in the classroom in her first year of college... Won 6 singles matches with victories over George Mason, Morgan State, Towson and UMES... Was successful in 7 doubles matches, 6 with classmate Wurtz, as they reached the quarterfinals in the “B” flight at the Bucknell Invitational and were 3-1 in the fall Loyola Invitational... Was outstanding in school with a cumulative 3...884 GPA... Is a Dean’s list honoree majoring in biology/psychology.
Before Loyola: Member of three Harford County championship teams at Patterson Mill High School in Bel Air, Md. … Named as team’s Most Valuable Player three times … Won County singles championship three times … State runner-up in doubles as a senior … Led the Eagles to four undefeated regular seasons and a 56-0 record … Also competed for golf team … Two-year member of cheerleading squad.
Personal: Daughter of JoAnn and Sam Santoriello … Has one sister … Winner of Presidential Award … Named to Principal’s Honor Roll.
