Biography
2019 (Junior): Ran an indoor season-best of 8.41 in the 60 at the Patriot Games... Ran a wind-legal 12.70 to win the 100 at the Carol & John Covert Classic with the sixth-best performance in school history... Finished 16th in the 100 at the Patriot League Outdoor Championships and 20th in the 200... Member of the 4x100 relay team that was sixth at the Patriot LEague Championhsips with the third-best time in school history.
2018 (Sophomore): Ran the team’s fastest indoor 60m time of the season, going 8.01 to finish 21st at the Patriot League Championships… Her time ranks second all-time at Loyola… Ran a season-best indoor 200m time of 26.68 at the Navy Lid-Lifter… Helped Loyola set a school record in the 4x200m relay (1:47.34), running the opening leg at the Sweetheart Multi-Mix… Posted the No. 6 time in school outdoor 100m history (12.75) at the Loyola-Johns Hopkins Invitational… Had a wind-aided time of 12.39 at the Patriot League Championships where she finished 16th in the event… Ran 26.68 in the 200m at the Lehigh Games… Anchored the school-record setting 4x100m relay team (48.67) at the Patriot League Championships.
2017 (Freshman): Made her collegiate debut in the 60m and 200m at the Navy Lid-Lifter… Ran 8.17 in the Navy Midweek… Crossed the line in 8.15 in the 60m at the Armory Track Invitational… Ran an indoor season-best of 8.08 at the Patriot League Indoor Championships where she finished 19th… Was 26th in the 200m, as well, with a time of 26.38… Stepped outdoors and ran 13.08 at the Maryland Invitational… Ran 13.00 into a strong negative wind at the Bison Outdoor Classic… Finished third in the 100m at the Lehigh Games in 12.93 and sixth in the 200m with a season-best time of 26.07, the seventh-fastest time in school history… Finished 17th in the 100m at the Patriot League Outdoor Championships in 12.66, the third-fastest time in school history… Ran the leadoff leg of the 4x100m relay team that set a school record in 48.85 at the Championships.
Before Loyola: Won 10 letters - eight in track and field and two in soccer - at Metuchen (New Jersey) High School)… Helped the Bulldogs win four-straight New Jersey Group I Section titles from 2012-2016 and Central Jersey Group I titles from 2012-2015… Was an indoor and outdoor track Greater Middlesex Conference (GMC) All-Blue Division honoree all eight seasons she competed at Metuchen… Also earned All-GMC honors in 2015 outdoors… Won the Central Jersey Sectional title in the 55m and 100m as a senior in 2016… Participated in four indoor New Jersey Meet of Champions and two outdoor (2015 and 2016).
Personal: Daughter of Sara Santo Pietro and Haneef Shaheed… Has a younger brother, Tai, and a younger sister, Amaya… Was a member of the National Honor Society and the Spanish National Honor Society at Metuchen.
