2020 (Sophomore): Ran a season-best time in the 60 hurdles (9.38) at the New Year's Invitational to finish fourth... Was fifth in the final of the 60 hurdles at the Terrapin Invitational (9.71)... Took 10th in the 60 hurdles (9.68) at the Patriot Games.
2019 (Freshman): Set the school 100 hurdles record by running 15.02 at the Loyola-Hopkins Invitational... Made her collegiate debut at Princeton's New Year Invitational, running in the 60 hurdles and the open 60 and 200 meters... Finished seventh in the finals of the 60 hurdles at that meet in 9.39, her best time of the year... Was eighth in the final of the 60 hurdles at the Navy Select in 9.60... FInished 16th in the 60 hurdles at the Patriot League Championships, running 9.50... Made her outdoor debut at the Navy Spring Meet, clocking a time of 15.84 to finish fifth in the 100 hurdles... Was 18th in the 100 hurdles at the Patriot League Championships in 15.42, the No. 4 time in school history.
Before Loyola: Graduated from Kellenberg Memorial High School in Uniondale, New York, where she was a three-year letterwinner for the Firebirds… Hurdler and jumper who posted top times of 8.65 (55m hurdles) and 15.3 (100m hurdles), as well as top jumps of 5’3” (high jump), 33’2.5” (triple jump) and 16’2” (long jump)… Earned All-League honors six times… Helped the Firebirds win a number of titles, including the 2016, 2017 and 2018 NSGCHSAA Outdoor Varsity Championships… The team also was the NSGHSAA Indoor runners-up those years… Kellenberg Memorial also won the CHSAA Intersectional outdoor title in 2018 after runners-up finishes in 2016 and 2017… Also ran for the Baldwin Blazers.
Personal: Daughter of Angella and Merrick Blackwood… Has one brother, Richard… Member of the National Honor Society and a four-year honor roll member at Kellenberg Memorial… Received the State of New York Office of the Attorney General Triple “C” Award… Awarded the Certificate of Merit in religion.
