Khyle Diaz

Khyle Diaz joined the Loyola University Maryland men’s basketball staff as an assistant coach in July 2024. He will also coordinate the Greyhounds' operations throughout the season.
 
Diaz comes to Loyola after spending the last two seasons on the staff at Cleveland State University where he began as a graduate assistant before being elevated to assistant director of operations.
 
In addition to his time with the Vikings program that won 59 percent of its games while was on staff, Diaz was the lead assistant coach at his alma mater, Keystone College, in 2021-2022 where he helped lead the Giants to its first postseason win in nine years.
 
Diaz joined Daniyal Robinson’s staff at Cleveland State in 2022 as a graduate assistant and was a part of two teams that 21 games in back-to-back seasons and reached the College Basketball Invitational in a both years.
 
He was a part of the player development staff for the Vikings while also working within video breakdown, scouting, operations and logistics and recruiting.
 
As a first-year assistant coach at Keystone, Diaz recruited the 2022 and 2023 Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) Rookie of the Year and the 2023 CSAC Player of the Year while also being involved in all facets of the coaching staff.
 
He is the founder of Hoop Details, LLC, a player development company that has worked with numerous collegiate-bound and professional athletes.
 
Diaz was a three-year letterwinner and two-time team captain as a student-athlete at Keystone. He played in 60 games over three years as the NCAA Division III school and averaged a career-best 9.0 points and 3.0 rebounds as a senior in 2016-17.
 
The Florida native graduated from Keystone in 2017 with a bachelor’s degree in sports management with a biology minor.
 
He moved on to play professionally with the United Kingdom’s National Basketball League where he helped the London Greenhouse Pioneers reach the playoffs in 2018 and 2019. He also earned a Master’s of international business at the University of Westminster while in England, and he completed a Master’s of sports and entertainment management in 2024 at Cleveland State.
