BALTIMORE, MD - Freshman Carolyn Kennington scored with less than eight minutes remaining to play in a Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference matchup for a 1-0 victory over Rider Saturday at Curley Field.
Kennington's goal, her ninth of the season, came at 82:09 on a direct pass from Naomi Daniels dead-center in front of the goal. The Greyhounds outshot the Bronces, 19-2, but only got a goal on Kennington's opportunity.
Rider's keeper Erin Wolleon made seven saves in goal while sophomore Kate Gilfillan stopped both of Rider's shots.
Loyola now stands at 8-6-2 overall and undefeated in the MAAC at 6-0-1. Rider is 8-6-2 and 4-3 in the conference.
The Greyhounds will play their final non-conference game of the season at Villanova on Tuesday, Oct. 28 and then will wrap-up the MAAC season at Canisius (Oct. 31) and Niagara (Nov. 1).
