Men's Golf Takes Third At Bucknell

LEWISBURG, PA - The Loyola College men's golf team shot a two-day total of 600 and placed third at the Bucknell Invitational in Lewisburg, Pa. over the weekend. T.J. Shuart led the Greyhounds with a 36-hole score of 149, placing ninth among the field's individuals.

Loyola shot an opening-day round of 295 with Mike Carroll's team-best score of 71. Paul Kouch shot a 74 while both Mike Foley and David Atkinson registered 75. The Greyhounds remained consistent and after a 305 on Day Two, a third-place finish put Loyola 16 stokes back of champion Bucknell and five strokes back of second-place Lafayette.

Carroll scored a 150 and tied for 11th while both Foley and Atkinson scored a two-round total of 152. Kouch finished with a 158 for the 'Hounds.

The Greyhounds next play in the Leo Keenan Invitational at the Bartlett Country Club in Olean, N.Y. The Leo Keenan Invite is slated for next Saturday and Sunday.
