Women's Tennis Edges LaSalle 4-3

BALTIMORE, MD - Loyola's women's tennis team won the doubles point and three of six singles matches en route to knocking off LaSalle 4-3 in a non-conference match on Saturday afternoon at the Butler Courts.

Greyhound Gina Turturiello (6-1, 6-0) led the way with her straight-set win at No. 3 singles and her 8-3 win, along with teammate Claire Najour, at No. 3 doubles.

Amy Nitch and Jessica Liberatore combined for an 8-0 triumph at No. 2 doubles, while Nitch won 6-1, 6-2 at No. 4 singles, and Najour won 6-4, 6-1 at No. 6 singles to round out the point-scoring for the Greyhounds and clinch the victory.

Loyola's record improves to 8-1 with the win.
