Women's Tennis Falls To Bucknell

March 22, 2004

BALTIMORE, MD - Loyola's Jessica Liberatore was the lone singles winner for the Greyhounds on Sunday afternoon as the women's tennis team fell to Bucknell by a score of 6-1 in a non-conference match at the Butler Courts.

Liberatore eeked out a hard fought, three-set win as she came back from losing Set One, 6-1, to win Sets Two and Three 6-3, 6-3 to earn the victory.

The Greyhounds' other win on the day came at No. 1 doubles when Carolyn Pilkington and Kaitlin Russo combined to crush their Bison competition, 8-1, but it wasn't enough to win the doubles point as Loyola dropped the other two doubles matches and five of six singles matches.

With the loss, Loyola falls to 8-2 on the year.
