Towson Tops Women's Tennis In Non-Conference Action

Baltimore, Md. - Freshman Caitlyn Day claimed a three-set victory at No. 1 singles to give Loyola its lone point at Towson on Tuesday afternoon. The Greyhounds dropped a 6-1 decision to the Tigers to fall to 11-5 overall this season.

Day won her No. 1 singles match with a 10-6 super-tiebreaker victory after sets of 2-6, 6-2. Freshman Kerri Swan dropped a 6-4, 6-2 decision at No. 2 singles, while freshman Stephanie Dunn, freshman Lauren Cassle, junior Meaghan McKenna and junior Mallory Tarca fell in Nos. 3-6 singles.

The Greyhounds return to action tomorrow when both the men and women wrap up non-conference play for the season. Loyola will host Mount St. Mary's beginning at 3 p.m.
