Women's Tennis Completes Action At Bucknell Invitational

Lewisburg, Pa. - Freshman Andie Keyser- Baker led a solid Loyola effort with a Flight D Finals appearance at the Bucknell Invitational on Sunday afternoon. Keyser-Baker was one of five Greyhounds in action on Sunday in Lewisburg.

In Flight D, where the Greyhounds had two women in competition, senior co-captain Mallory Tarca fell in straight sets in the semifinals to Kristen Swanson of Duquesne. Keyser-Baker, meanwhile, won her semifinal match with a 7-6(7), 6-2 win to meet Swanson in the finals. Swanson won the Flight with a 6-2, 6-1 win over Keyser-Baker.

In Flight A action, sophomore Kerri Swan dropped an 8-6 superset match in the consolation semifinals. The same rang true for sophomore Stephanie Dunn in Flight B, where she fell 8-2 to Courtney Reed of Villanova in the consolation semis.

Sophomore Lauren Cassle was the third Greyhound to play in the consolation semifinals and fell 8-3 to end her day.

Loyola will wrap up the fall portion of its 2007-08 schedule on October 13-14 when both the men and women compete at the Hampton Roads Collegiate in Norfolk, Va.
