Baltimore, Md. - The Loyola men's and women's tennis teams dropped hard fought 4-3 matches to MAAC foe Siena on Saturday evening at the Greenspring Racquet Club. With the one-point losses, the men fall to 7-5 overall, while the women move to 6-5 this season.

In the men's competition, the Greyhounds jumped out front early, winning the doubles point at No. 1 and No. 3. Senior co-captains Scott Gannon and Ben Epstein claimed an 8-3 win at No. 1 doubles, while senior Doug Alban and freshman Dan D'Agostino continued their success at No. 3 with an 8-4 point clinching match.

Epstein followed his doubles win with a 7-5, 7-5 victory at No. 2 singles, while Matt McDaniel scored the third Loyola point with a 6-4, 6-4 win at No. 3 singles.

For the women, freshman Andie Keyser- Baker teamed up with sophomore Lauren Cassle for an 8-3 win at No. 3 doubles, but the point went to Siena. Cassle later won a 6-2, 6-1 match at No. 6 singles, while Joy Johnson and senior captain Meaghan McKenna garnered victories at No. 3 and No. 5 singles respectively.

Sophomore Stephanie Dunn dropped a three-set match at No. 4 singles as the Greyhounds lost for the second time in MAAC play this season.

Both the men and women return to MAAC play on Sunday when they host Marist at the Butler Courts. Inclement weather may force the matches indoors and in the evening at Greenspring Racquet Club.
