BALTIMORE - Loyola College senior defender Kristen Stone was named to the Inside Lacrosse Magazine All-America Third Team, the publication announced.

Stone, who also earned All-BIG EAST and IWLCA All-Mid-Atlantic Region First Team honors following the season, led the Greyhounds with 40 ground balls and 26 caused turnovers this season.

She was named the 2007-2008 recipient of Loyola's Ernest Lagna Award as the school's top senior student-athlete.

Stone led the BIG EAST Conference in ground balls per game (2.50) and was second in the conference in caused turnovers per game (1.62).

She also scored a goal against Delaware and had two draw controls.

The Buffalo, N.Y., native graduated from Loyola earlier this month with a degree in mathematics.
