Baltimore -- Inside Lacrosse announced their Nike Lacrosse Media All-American's on Friday afternoon, as Loyola University Maryland's
Mae Murphy was named to the First Team.
Murphy was also named to the USA Lacrosse First Team, Mid-Atlantic Region First Team, Patriot League Rookie of the Year, and Patriot League First Team.
Murphy was the lone Freshman named to the first team, as the freshman from Moorestown, New Jersey posted historic numbers during her freshman campaign. Murphy broke the Patriot League and Loyola single-season draw control records this season, while also finishing with the second most draws in a single-season, trailing only Jordan Dean (UMass), who had 261 in 2024. She also shattered the Division I, Patriot League, and Loyola freshman draw control records this season. Murphy recorded 15 games with double-digit draw controls this season, while leading the Greyhounds to the top ranked draw unit, with a 66.8 percent draw percentage that ranks tops in the country, while their 16.8 draws per game ranks second. She also recorded 12 caused turnovers and 10 ground balls on the season for Loyola.
