Women's Tennis Falls Versus George Mason, 4-3

Baltimore, Md. - Loyola women's tennis lost to George Mason on Tuesday afternoon, falling in four singles matches for a final 4-3 score.

The team started out with three straight wins in doubles play to grab the point. Freshman Rachel Janasek and junior Kerri Swan defeated their opponents 8-3 at No. 1 doubles, sophomores Andie Keyser-Baker and Joy Johnson won 8-2 at No. 2 doubles and juniors Caitlyn Day and Stephanie Dunn won 8-1 at the No. 3 position.

In singles action, Keyser-Baker played at the No. 3 singles spot. She lost 3-6 in the first set, won 6-3 in the second and took the match victory at 10-3 in the tiebreaker. Johnson won 6-1, 6-2 at No. 5 singles.

Janasek played at the No. 1 spot, but fell 3-6, 1-6. Day lost in straight sets at the No. 2 position, Swan lost 3-6, 4-6 at No. 4 and Lite lost 4-6, 4-6 at the No. 6 spot.

The women's team hosts La Salle on Saturday at 1:00 p.m.
