BALTIMORE, Md. - Tennis earned two wins in Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference play Saturday afternoon on the Butler Courts, as the men defeated Siena 5-2 and the women downed the Saints 6-1.

The men are now 12-4 overall and improved their conference record to 3-2. The women advanced their record to 11-5 and 4-1 in the MAAC.

The men started off by earning the doubles point with victories in Nos. 2 and 3 doubles. Kevin Zingler and Dan D'Agostino defeated Dylan Roberts and Nik Godbole 8-1 while Matt McDaniel and Bobby Gorczakowski defeated Robert Cooperman and Vikaran Kadaba 8-1.

Keyan Sanai and J. Pierce Norton dropped the No. 1 doubles match 8-4 to Michael Amico and Jarrett Siwiec.

Sanai fell in the No. 1 singles tilt to Amico going 6-3, 7-6 (3). Siena took a 2-1 lead after Norton fell to Siwiec 6-2, 6-1 in No. 2 singles.

But the Greyhounds took back a lead in No. 3 singles with Zingler defeating Roberts 6-3, 6-4 and Loyola won out through the rest of the match.

McDaniel defeated Godbole 6-3, 6-4 in No. 4 singles, Gorczakowski overtook Cooperman 6-2, 7-6 (4), and Jamie Russo closed out with a 6-3, 6-4 win over Kadaba.

In women's action, the Greyhounds took the doubles point with wins in Nos. 1 and 3.

Rachel Janasek and Kerri Swan started Loyola off with an 8-3 win over Jasleen Sandhu and Nicole Ross in No. 1 doubles action. Joy Johnson and Andie Keyser-Baker fell 8-6 to Danielle Crill and Elora Benfer in the No. 2 tilt but the `Hounds then clinched the doubles point with an 8-3 win by Judy Lite and Scarlett Hoy over Jessica Asselin and Brittany Filip.

In singles, Janasek led off with a 6-2, 7-6 (4) defeat of Sandu. Swan then defeated Crill 6-3, 6-1 in No. 2 singles and Johnson earned a 6-2, 6-0 victory over Asselin.

Keyser-Baker notched a 6-2, 6-2 win over Ross in No. 4 singles and Hoy defeated Benfor 6-2, 6-0.

The only loss of the day came in the No. 6 singles match when Lite fell to Filip 4-6, 7-3 (3), 6-4.
