Washington, D.C. - The Loyola University Maryland volleyball team lost to George Washington, 3-0 (25-16, 25-17, 25-20), on Wednesday in Washington, D.C.

The Greyhounds will open up MAAC play at home Saturday against Fairfield and Sunday against Iona. Both matches begin at 2 p.m.

Loyola (5-7 overall) was led by senior Nina Camaioni, who record nine kills and seven digs. Sophomore Aubrey Kirven had 23 assists and senior Brittany Born had 22 digs for the night.

The best hitting percentage for the team came in the third set, where they hit a .221.

George Washington was led by Lauren Whyte, who recorded a double-double with 17 kills and 14 digs.
