BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Loyola University Maryland's men's and women's tennis teams swept a pair of Saturday matches at the Lehigh Invitational with the men outlasting St. Francis (Pa.), 7-5, and the women defeating Lafayette, 5-2.
The teams played an unlimited number of matches in the invitational format.
The Loyola women swept the doubles point, as the teams of Rachel Janasek and Olivia Ott, Tiffany Ash and Sabrina Fedele and Judy Lite and Jackie Lionetta were winners on Saturday.
In singles action, Janasek, Ash, Lite, Lionetta and Liz Black were all victorious for the Greyhounds.
On the men's side, Kevin Zingler and J. Pierce Norton, Keyan Sanai and Harrison Kunkel and Eric Michaelis and Tom Hamm teamed to win doubles matches.
Sanai, ZIngler, Hamm and Keishi Goto were winners in singles play for the men.
On Friday evening, the Loyola women defeated host Lehigh, 7-1, but the men were defeated, 5-2. Results for those matches follow:
